Fund Raisers
Just like people need food for sustenance, nonprofits need funding. That’s a given. Fundraisers can be a great way raise money and there are many ways to fund raise, from one-time events like parties, concerts, auctions, and black tie events, to smaller scale projects like car washes and selling candy bars. There’s also something called “crowdfunding”, an internet platform that allows people to raise money for a special cause.
One of the most popular crowdfunding options is Go Fund Me. Go Fund Me allows you to create your own web page to describe what you are raising money for. It also allows you to share your fundraising project with family and friends on all the popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Vimeo, Linked In, Skype, Instagram and email campaigns. People can then donate to a user’s cause through the website using only a debit card or credit card (no PayPal) and track the progress of their funding. Over 10,000 people start a Go Fund Me every day, funding projects from a few hundred dollars to several million!
